Le Soleil de la Méditerranée, a campsite that radiates in Saint Cyprien
It is in Saint Cyprien Plage, famous seaside resort of the Améthyste Coast, in Catalan Country, that we come across le Soleil de la Méditerranée.
A large part of these pitches are today occupied by rentals, but the remaining plots are still intended for 'true' campers with their tent, caravan or campervan. Shady or not, they all have a connection to the electricity grid. In 2018, the campsite has opened a new bathroom installation as well as a new camper service station.
One of the most comfortable mobile homes of this outdoor establishment can accommodate up to eight people having four bedrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with TV as well as a bathroom and a separate toilet. In the light of the 300 sunny days in this region, it goes without saying that the integrated terrace is a real asset, particularly as it is equipped with garden furniture.
Among the shops and services of le Soleil de la Méditerranée we note the presence of a grocery store and a renovated restaurant bar where holidaymakers can enjoy delicious meals or even place an order to take out.
A 3,500 m² water park
With its 3,500 m², the water park of the Le Soleil de la Méditerranée is one of the largest aquatic parks in the region. It consists of a giant lagoon and a paddling pool for children, connected by a small artificial river. Sunbathing areas allow to enjoy the sun around the pools, but also to admire the wonderful views over the neighbouring Mont Canigou. Note that in 2019, the aquatic area will be equipped with new thrill-seeker slides! Plenty to impress lovers of going down water slides!
At 800 metres from the campsite, the residents of le Soleil de la Méditerannée can swim in the sea from the beach of Saint Cyprien, but also enjoy the many sailing and diving schools to indulge in various water activities.
Among the ohter campsite facilities we mention a playground for children, a multi sports ground, a hammam and a bike rental service. During the summer season and on-site the campers can also offer themselves the services of a hairdresser, a beautician and a professional tattoo artist. In 2019, this establishment is innovating further as it is intended to create an entirely new stage to accommodate entertainment and shows, and to lay out around this tiers on which holidaymakers will be able to sit down comfortably.
