Les Hautes Coutures - a luxury campsite in Bénouville

A perfect campsite to discover the historic sites of the Côte de Nacre (the coast immediately west and east of Ouistreham )
South of Ouistreham, the village of Bénouville has one of the loveliest campsites of the Côte de Nacre. Its name? Les Hautes Coutures, a campsite rated 4-star which stretches over nearly 7 hectares along the Orne Canal. A few hundred metres from the campsite, Pegasus Bridge, the bridge memorial and museum is one of the must-sees when visiting the Normandy Landing sites. One of the major events of the day 6 June 1944 involved British Commandos taking control of Pegasus Bridge.
Some 5 kilometres further north, the town of Ouistreham is today one of the most renowned seaside resorts of the Côte de Nacre. By the Riva Bella beach, tourist attractions and activities follow naturally on from each other. There you will find a casino, a karting track, a thalassotherapy centre and other facilities, as well a monument erected in honour of the French soldiers freed by Commando Kieffer, after landing on this beach on 6 June 1944.
Around the campsite Les Hautes Coutures, a multitude of other tourist sites await holidaymakers. The museums retrace the epic story of the liberators, of which there were a multitude, in the vicinity of the Côte de Nacre beaches, nowadays stormed only by swimmers, lovers of sand yachting and kites, joggers and other activities.
