A lakeside holiday
Resulting from the construction of a dam in the 1950s, the Lac de Pareloup lake is a leading sports and recreational centre in the Aveyron department.

Le Caussanel, with the Lac de Pareloup lake running alongside, is the perfect place for many water sports. The shore has been developed, so you can swim here, but also relax and make the most of the sunshine, by lying on the grass on this natural beach. On the campsite, you can also hire canoes and pedalos. Moreover, a boat hire service is located 10 minutes from here For a reasonable price, holidaymakers can hire boats without needing a licence. These are able to accommodate 6 to 10 people. What better for sailing on the 1,290 hectare lake!
The campsite water park comprises no less than three pools. With the water slides and various water games, it is a children’s paradise! Whilst teens can have fun in a 100 m² swimming pool, their parents make the most of it to comfortably sit down on the sunbeds running alongside the pools, and indulge in idleness!
It is also worth noting that this establishment includes numerous sports facilities, such as a multi-sport ground, two pétanque courts, beach volleyball court, and even ping-pong tables. Moreover, activities and entertainment are on offer to all holidaymakers! Children are not overlooked and numerous facilities and activities are in store for them (mini club for those aged 5 to 12, mini disco, children’s show, playground, etc.). A perfect location in Aveyron
Aveyron has countless tourist gems, these being legion in this Occitanie department. Moreover, the central location of Le Caussanel, on the shores of the Lac de Pareloup, enables you to go all round Aveyron, France’s fifth largest department.
Aveyron, a natural region, is crossed by three large rivers, which have hollowed out superb, deep gorges. Most certainly the largest of these is the Tarn, which you can go down by canoe, able to make the most of the magnificent landscapes, going with the flow. One Le Caussanel partner even offers holidaymakers the chance for a river descent at their own pace. They can use a shuttle bus which takes them to the start point. They therefore have all the time they wish to reach their car, parked at the route’s end point!
Amongst the numerous tourist attractions near the campsite there are castles, examples being the Château du Colombier or Château de Brousse and safari parks, such as Le Jardin des Bêtes and Pradinas park. There is also a multitude of charming villages, the towns of Rodez and Millau, Roquefort caves, Micropolis insect museum, with the so-called “City of Insects”, etc.
