Les Pierres Couchées, a luxury campsite in Saint Brévin les Pins
Halfway between La Baule and Pornic, in the vicinity of the Loire estuary and in the heart of a pine forest, nestles the Les Pierres Couchées campsite. This shaded and in bloom 14-hectare member of the Siblu group, located south of Saint Brévin les Pins, is perfect for convivial and fun family holidays. It is enough to go 300 metres on foot or by bike, through the pine trees, to feel the sandy beach under your feet, and inhale the sea spray of the Atlantic Ocean…
A Loire Atlantique campsite, nestling in the pine forest, just a stone’s throw from the beach
Choose to spend your holiday on this 4-star campsite of the Loire Atlantique. It guarantees returning home with a head full of happy memories, as everything has been thought of, to make your stay as delightful as possible. You will, first and foremost, be surprised to discover a magnificent water complex with a swimming pool, a heated paddling pool, a balneotherapy bench and a sunbathing area. Your older children will already be at the top of the water slides, or ready to take the plunge on the various slide lanes. At the same time, the very young will have fun in the “Splashzone” supervised by lifeguards.
You, as much older children, can do a few lengths, sunbathe, read a book in the shade or have a drink at the pool bar. Unless, that is, you are tempted by a game of pétanque, a ping-pong match or a sports session in the gym.
You will then discover the multitude of activities on offer to children of all ages. Those aged 1 to 4 will play, dress up, do painting and use glitter at the Bubble’s Playroom, with you and the activity leaders. This Saint Brévin campsite will hold no secrets for adventurers aged 5 to 9 at the Pirate Club, and youngsters aged 10 to 14, will waver between sport and art, competitions and drama at the Barracudas Club, run by a qualified and creative activity team.
The swimming pool or the sea...Why choose when you can have both!
The following day, you will be able to get your hire bike opposite reception and ride on a cycle track, which will lead you straight to the seaside! In a few minutes, you will find yourself opposite a magnificent panorama: the dunes of the fine sandy beach, bordered with pines and mimosas, opposite the Atlantic Ocean. Some 8 kilometres of fine sand, an invitation for “idleness” and for nautical activities. You won’t know where to look, so wide is the choice: sand yachting, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, surfing, water skiing and even kitesurfing and flyboarding.
A smile on your lips, you will go back to the campsite for dinner, with the choice of mussels and chips at the restaurant, or a takeaway pizza. Unless, that is, you were to cook one of your summer recipes in your fully equipped mobile home, and have dinner as a family on your covered terrace. For gourmets, a barbecue area is available on the campsite, to treat your taste buds with grills containing herbes de Provence (mixed herbs).
To end your day on a lovely note, go to the amphitheatre to attend a show put on by the activity team, or take part in themed evenings, cabaret, karaoke or to immortalize the children’s show.
