The banks of the Lac de Ribou lake, in Cholet, in the area of the Loire known historically as Les Mauges, accommodate one of the loveliest campsites of the Maine et Loire département. Only 25 kilometres from the Puy du Fou (a theme park with reconstructions of historical settlements, and shows and activities), the Lac de Ribou is an ideally situated holiday resort located at the border with the historical province of Anjou and the Vendée département.

Holidaymakers can find this exceptional campsite by the Lac de Ribou lake, in Cholet in the Maine et Loire. The campsite occupies grounds of several hectares on the undulating banks of this artificial lake. A multitude of activities take place on or around the lake. Amongst our supervised activities, we could mention sailing, canoeing, rowing, pedalos, boating and even fishing. In addition, multiple hiking paths enable you to go round the lake, or to discover the surrounding area.
The campsite, which stretches out over several hectares by the lake, groups together a multitude of camping and caravanning pitches and holiday rental accommodation. The plots intended to accommodate tents, caravans and campers, all have an electrical connection. They stretch over surface areas comprised of between 90 and 100 m².
Holidaymakers seeking additional luxury can, if they wish, stay in gîtes (self-catering cottages) or mobile homes. Depending upon their size and layout, they can accommodate between 2 to 12 people! With 2 heated outdoor swimming pools, a heated covered swimming pool, a paddling pool and a landing pool for mini water slides for children, as well as 4 giant water slides and a multi-lane slide, it is the largest aquatic park in the region!
Thrill-seekers, particularly, will be delighted to learn that amongst the water slides of this aquatic area, there is a Spacebowl, a water slide where the swimmers are thrown about within a giant siphon...for even more adrenalin!

The other facilities include a Carabouille play area, a second outdoor play area for children, an inflatable game, a multi sports ground, a pétanque court and ping pong tables. Moreover, during the high season, there are 3 activity leaders on the campsite to organise activities and entertainment: aquatic awakening, sports tournaments, convivial evenings and other activities. In addition, three mini-clubs are open. There is the Clapou club for those aged 4 to 7, the Politicator club for those aged 8 to 12, and the Nobodys club for youngsters aged 13 to 17.
One of the multitude of advantages of the Lac de Ribou campsite is its geographical situation. Accessible in a few minutes, Cholet, famous for its industrial heritage and especially the textile industry, is nowadays a dynamic and commercial provincial town. There is a multitude of factory shops but also the Musée du Textile (the Textile Museum) as well as the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (the Museum of Art and History).
Barely going much further, the famous Parc du Puy du Fou welcomes more than a million visitors each year. This famous theme park, winner of a plethora of awards in recent years, offers a multitude of shows each more magnificent than the others.
