L’Océano d’Or, indeed a Gold campsite in Jard sur Mer!
The Vendée abounds in tourist attractions and activities to discover during a stay on the L’Océano d’Or campsite. One kilometre from the nearest beach, this establishment stretches over a surface area of 8 hectares. It has a large water park, with an indoor pool and water slides, as well as many leisure facilities…
Jard sur Mer, the charm of the Vendée
It is between Les Sables d’Olonne and La Tranche sur Mer that the Côte de Lumière, the name given to the Vendée coast, reveals to holidaymakers the best it has to offer. Lovely sandy beaches, rocky coasts perfect for shore fishing, oyster parks, and oyster stalls, enabling gourmets to discover the fruits of their harvest…It is also here that you find the town of Jard sur Mer, a coastal resort on a human scale, and a delightful marina that has charm and activity, bursting with life!
The L’Océano d’Or campsite is just a stone's throw from the town centre of Jard sur Mer. It occupies wooded and perfectly maintained grounds of 8 hectares, where a total of 450 plots have been laid out. Many of these are now occupied by holiday rentals, both comfortable and well-equipped, whilst traditional pitches, intended to accommodate campers and their tent, caravan or camper, are around a further 100 plots.
Some 400 metres from the nearest shops, this high-end establishment on the Côte de Lumière proves, above all, to be entirely welcoming and warm. You can spend your holidays relaxing here, but also having fun and great family times. To meet both the needs and expectations of holidaymakers, numerous facilities have been put in place on the L’Océano d’Or campsite.
Camping as you like it
Amongst the shops on-site, there is in particular a food area, a service selling fresh bread and sweet breads and buns such as brioches, croissants and pains au chocolat every morning, a snack bar as well as a bar. The campsite is equipped with Wi-Fi coverage, and the first log-in is free for new arrivals. Pets are accepted, provided they do not exceed 20 kilos. Likewise, dogs in categories 1 and 2 (covered by the French dangerous dog legislation) are not permitted.
A family campsite with warm surroundings, particularly in July and August, or even during the spring break, when numerous activities take place here, L’Océano d’Or, can count upon great leisure facilities to entertain holidaymakers. This is especially the case with its water park, entirely heated from April through to September (with a water temperature of more or less 25°C). This comprises a large indoor swimming pool, convertible to outdoor on hot summer days, a large swimming pool, a landing pool for the three water slides, and a Jacuzzi for relaxing in.
A paddling pool, children’s water games and a sunbathing area with numerous sunloungers, complete this complex, thus enabling the needs of children and adults alike to be satisfied. Amongst the other leisure facilities of this 5-star Jard sur Mer campsite, there is the open-air children’s play area, the multi-sports ground, the tennis court, ping-pong tables, the climbing structure, the pétanque court, the gym and the children's club, which accommodates young children from 5 to 12 years old during the high season.
One of the most lively summers, tranquillity in the off-season
Although both ends of the season, the periods that the campsite is open outside of July and August, favour rest and relaxation, the 2 summer months are punctuated by multiple activities and entertainment. The activity team on the L’Océano d’Or, comprised of young dynamic adults, with contagious good humour, is responsible for organizing these activities.
These may take the form of muscle strengthening sessions and aquaerobics, sports tournaments, group games, or more specifically for children, workshops in make-up, painting, drama, treasure hunts and others. Every summer evening, entertainment is planned, such as concerts, dance evenings, cabaret evenings, magic shows and bingo…
Lastly, 300 metres from the campsite, a cycle path awaits cycling enthusiasts. The Vendée abounds in tourist attractions and activities to discover during a stay on the L’Océano d’Or campsite. The beaches are as beautiful as one another, and there is no shortage of wild landscapes, such as the famous La Pointe du Payré walking trail in Jard sur Mer, soon to be labelled as a “Grand Site de France” (to both recognize and preserve its national and cultural features).
