For those keen on sports, a wide range of facilities is accessible on the campsite and you can alternate between aquaerobics, strengthening the muscles, walking or hiking, jogging, tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, pétanque or table tennis at your leisure. Nearby, there is also a golf course, crazy golf course, skatepark, treetop adventure course, cycle trails and bridle paths.
The very young, if they’re not tired out by the water play area, are able to have fun on the swings and slides at the playground, or make the most of the mini club in the high season. This highly sun-drenched region and the large beaches make it the perfect destination to try various sports: sand yachting, surfing, sailing, sea kayaking, kitesurfing, stand-up paddle boarding...
The seaside resort also faces a lovely jewel of the Atlantic coast: the Ile de Ré island. Make the most of treating yourself to a boat trip on the island and hiring bikes. Go all over the numerous cycle trails to see the protected countryside, alleyways full of charm in its little villages, lined with houses having green shutters and stop at the delightful small ports of Ars en Ré or Saint Martin de Ré for lunch or an ice-cream break.
Lastly, further south, do not miss the charming character city of La Rochelle, where you can spend a day. Its rich historic past, old town and picturesque port with its towers make it particularly attractive. Stroll within the heart of it, go round the Les Halles market to enjoy the La Rochelle specialities, or to the aquarium, one of the city’s must-sees, not far from the old port.
