In the south of the Vendée region and around 10 kilometres from La Rochelle, the Les Préveils campsite accommodates you in La Tranche sur Mer, 150 metres from the beach. It offers you the chance to pitch your tent on pitches ranging from 80 m² to 100 m², with mains water and electricity supply (10 amp connection). You can also stay in chalets consisting of 2 or 3 bedrooms, or even choose to settle into a mobile home with all modern conveniences!
This La Tranche sur Mer campsite also has a fantastic water park, consisting of a 200 m² heated swimming pool and play pool with an inflatable fish for the very young. In July and August an aquaerobics session takes place every morning from Monday to Friday and, once a week, the campsite team arranges an evening swimming session. Located 150 metres from the campsite, the Sainte Anne beach is accessible on foot. Perfect for swimming, you can also stretch out on the sand to get a suntan here, and children are able to build sandcastles!
Ideal to recharge your batteries and stay in shape, this establishment organizes multiple activities, such as stretching and muscle strengthening classes, as well as dance classes; Madison, Kuduro, salsa, country music, and of course, the must-see summer dances! Les Préveils also has a gym and the activity team arranges tournaments on the multi-sport ground or pétanque court!

During the school holidays, two kids clubs are open on Les Préveils; one accommodates children aged 4 to 8 and the second those aged 9 to 12. Various activities are on offer for the young, such as fancy dress sessions, a photo rally, treasure hunts, etc. All these creative, play and sports activities, and preparing for the show, allow children to have fun and make loads of happy memories of their holiday in La Tranche sur Mer.
Each evening in the summer, in the campsite’s event area theme nights. shows, cabaret, magic shows and the famous “Crazy Dances” nights take place. Those wishing to continue the evening until the end of the night can then go to the night club, located 500 metres from the campsite!
The “Le Petit Bottereau” campsite restaurant is open from the morning onwards offering breakfast menus with bread and sweetbreads and buns. You can enjoy a lovely meal here at lunchtime or in the evening. Les Préveils also has a bicycle hire service, enabling you to go off cycling on the “Casse aux Lièvres“ and “Sentier du Bout des Cabanes“ tracks or even the “Rando des Dunes“ trail, running along by the sea, thus enabling you to admire the Côte de Lumière (the Vendée coast), such as the Ile de Ré which is opposite.

In summer, a free shuttle bus, the “Fun Bus”, enables you to quickly go to the centre of La Tranche sur Mer village from the campsite. You can explore this renowned seaside resort and the 13 kilometres of beaches. Unless you prefer the village of L'Aiguillon sur Mer and the small authentic port with wooden posts and flat-roofed fishermen‘s cottages.
From Les Préveils, you can also head to the towns of Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. These seaside resorts are amongst the most lively and dynamic on the Côte de Lumière coast and there are numerous, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants. The Vendée coast is also favourable for water sports and a multitude of water sports centres enable you to have beginners sailing (Optimist dinghy, catamaran, etc.) windsurfing, surfing, kitesurfing or even towable tubes.
