A luxury campsite to the north of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie
Located on the road out of Saint Hilaire de Riez, a neighbouring commune of the celebrated seaside resort of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, the Le Château campsite is a holiday resort renowned for its high-quality facilities and for the attention it pays to holidaymakers’ well-being. Families are particularly welcome and there are now as many events and activities dedicated to children as parents!
This upmarket open-air hotel extends over an area of several hectares is located 2.5 kilometres from a sandy beach and 1.5 kilometres from the local salt marshes. Corniche Vendéenne, protected for its natural beauty, is a wild and rocky coastline which stretches over more than three kilometres between Saint Hilaire de Riez and Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, located less than three kilometres away. Moreover, various cycle tracks leave from the site and make it possible to easily reach these various places.
Whilst the site has several pitches of varying areas between 85 and 100 m² intended to accommodate campers and their equipment, a large number of these plots are nowadays occupied by mobile homes available for hire.
A dream aquatic park for thrill-seekers is on hand!
There are four ranges of mobile homes on the site; “Budget”, “Comfort” “Prestige” and “VIP”. The last category is indeed the most luxury available. The accommodation has a large surface area, ranging from 28 m² to 40 m². The rentals have two or three rooms and are decked out with a terrace.
As regards leisure facilities, the Le Château campsite has one of the best water parks in the Vendée region. Entirely renovated, the latter has seen its area increase tenfold so as to be able to accommodate new aquatic facilities. There are thus also within this water area, 3 heated pools including a large outdoor pool for swimming and a second outdoor pool which is a landing pool for 2 water slides. It also has an indoor swimming pool having a Jacuzzi, a 100 m² children's splash pad, as well as water slides, which are as long as they are impressive! The “Space Hole” and the “Speed Balls” slides have been specifically designed for thrill-seekers...
Particularly pampered, children staying at the Le Château campsite in Saint Hilaire de Riez are able to make the most of a 400 m² playground and a “Funny Park”, equipped with 5 inflatable structures during peak season. A “Tiny Club” moreover accommodates those aged 3 to 6 years old whilst a “Kids Club” takes care those aged 6 to 11 years. Lastly, your youngsters aged 12 to 17 will meet up in an area particularly dedicated to them.
Lastly, holidaymakers have the opportunity to enjoy numerous shops and services within the Le Château campsite, such as a grocer's shop, a bar, a restaurant, a takeaway service and other retail services.
Moreover, as holidays in the Vendée department are unthinkable without discovering its treasures, upon going out of this outdoor establishment, campers have the opportunity to go to the Côte de Lumière beaches, which benefit from one of the highest levels of sunshine on the Atlantic coast. They may also visit the Ile d’Yeu island, the Puy du Fou theme park, or even Planète Sauvage, one of the largest zoological parks in France...
