The Village de la Guyonnière campsite - 5-star and by the Lac de Jaunay
Zen and family campsite par excellence the Village de la Guyonnière campsite, which is rated 5-star, is situated by the Lac de Jaunay (a meandering lake), in the Vendée department. Less than fifteen minutes from the Côte de Lumière beaches this open-air hotel, renowned for its comfort and quality facilities, is the perfect spot in the commune of Saint-Julien-des-Landes to spend a weekend or a holiday with family or friends.
A marriage of peace and nature
The Village de la Guyonnière campsite is at the heart of a green setting, located 300 metres from the banks of Lac de Jaunay. An artificial 114-hectare lake, the Lac de Jaunay stretches over more than eight kilometres. A fishermen's paradise, it is also a nautical leisure park which is famous throughout the entire Vendée department.
Hardly a dozen or so kilometres from the Bretignolles-sur-Mer beaches and the seaside resorts of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Les Sables-d’Olonne, this campsite stretches over a site of 30 hectares. Here the benefits of peace, space and tranquillity which naturally distinguish it from campsites located by the sea.
The proof is very much in its spacious pitches, the average area of which exceeds 225 m²(!). Such pitches are entirely laid to grass and often planted with trees. Intimacy is thus preserved in this 5-star Vendée campsite. Moreover, campers staying on these pitches have the chance to have the Premium pack. This comprises, in addition to a set of garden furniture for six people, a fridge and a barbecue! Lastly, indeed the height of luxury, it is possible to reserve a dormitory during your last night on the site. Completely renovated, these dormitories allow campers to fold their tent or their equipment back up on the day before departure, whilst taking their time to optimise the use of their vehicle's storage space. This service makes a difference when you wish avoid the stress of a hasty and inadequately prepared departure!
Only 15 minutes from the Vendée beaches
By the water's edge or even at the very heart of the landscaped site which accommodates this campsite, holidaymakers also have the chance of hiring comfortable accommodation. The Village de la Guyonnière campsite also has a “glamping” range. This comprising lodges which are as unusual as they are varied, but also a multitude of chalets and mobile homes. Like the plots previously mentioned, space is equally important as between each on-site hire accommodation unit, thus ensuring respect for privacy.
Although all accommodation units offer comfort and space to their occupants two such units, in particular, stand out. The glamping lodges of the Family Zen range as well as the TAOS Family Prestige (Deluxe Family Prestige) mobile homes, are now amongst the best available as regards open-air accommodation. Whilst the former can boast a private Jacuzzi, a wooden terrace of more than 37.5 m², a raised private solarium with sunbathing, sunshine and an unrestricted view over the campsite, the latter have an area of 42 m², 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 to 8 individuals!
The available shops and services contribute to the excellent reputation of the site. These comprise a completely new restaurant, a snack bar serving takeaway dishes and pizzas, a bar with a warm atmosphere housed within a former stone barn and a grocery. There is a reception, which also serves as a ticket office for the Le Puy du Fou theme park, a must-see attraction when holidaying in the Vendée, a bicycle hire service and a games room. Children wishing to may also have a pony tour of the campsite, as well as of the numerous areas occupied by farm animals on the campsite.
On the banks of the Lac de Jaunay
On the banks of the Lac de Jaunay, holidaymakers of the Village de la Guyonnière most certainly have no time to get bored, as there any number of facilities and recreational and/or sports activities. The aquatic area, entirely heated to 28°C, is thus comprises a paddling pool and an indoor swimming pool, a large outside swimming pool, a 65-meter countercurrent river and an aquatic water slide.
This Saint-Julien-des-Landes open-air hotel also has a spa/wellness centre in which there is a steam room, a sauna, Jacuzzi and recliner chairs. Moreover, there is also a beautician-masseuse on hand, to offer you various body and facial care treatments.
