A 4-star campsite on the Ile d’Oléron
Located in Saint-Georges-d’Oléron, the Les Cabanes d’Oléron campsite is a high-end outdoor establishment rated 4 star. Its geographical location enables holidaymakers here to tour around the entire Ile d'Oléron island, affectionately known as “The Island of Light”. The closest beaches to the campsite are less than 1.5 kilometres away, and you should allow around half an hour by road to reach the mainland, by crossing the Oléron viaduct and arriving in Marennes.
A campsite with a human dimension, Les Cabanes d’Oléron is distinguished by its peace and tranquillity. A peace which enables you to spend a restful and relaxing stay in wooded and green grounds. The campsite has large shaded and in bloom plots, and various types of mobile home. These are spread over the area and break down into nine ranges.

The mobile homes in the “Cabanes VIP Top Presta” range are certainly the most amazing! With their timber interior and out-of-the-ordinary décor, having a wide range of facilities, including a TV, dishwasher, gas plancha and free Wi-Fi. In 2023, new accommodation ranges have appeared on the campsite: the “Tribu Top Presta”, “Tribu Villa” and “Moussaillon Top Presta” holiday rentals.
Once settled in on the campsite, holidaymakers can make the most of its numerous facilities. This establishment has a mini market at reception, snack bar/takeaway (both open in July and August), bread and sweetbreads and buns outlet (booking required in the low season), bar with televisions, launderette and others. Every day in July and August, a free shuttle bus stops near the Les Cabanes d’Oléron campsite. If they wish, this takes holidaymakers to the Les Bonnes and La Cotinière beaches, and to the Saint Georges d’Oléron market and Boyardville.
This 4-star campsite in Charente-Maritime also has recreational and aquatic facilities for the greatest delight of holidaymakers. The water park consists of a large outdoor pool and an entirely new indoor pool, both pools being heated for the Ascension holiday weekend in France. A small children’s pool, a Jacuzzi and new water slides complete the entire complex. It is worth noting that the outdoor pools are only accessible from June.

The other facilities on Les Cabanes d’Oléron include a multi-sports ground, ping-pong tables, an area for playing boules (new for 2023) and a children’s outdoor play area. The very young can go to the campsite’s mini-club, which accommodates those aged 4 to 12.
Lastly, a stay on the Les Cabanes d’Oléron campsite is the opportunity to go out and discover the wonders of the Island of Light and, more generally, the Charente coast. Many historical sites, such as the Fort Boyard and Fort Louvois forts, and the walled town of Château d’Oléron, should be visited. On the mainland the former arsenal of Rochefort, the port of registry of the L’Hermione ship, the reconstruction of General La Fayette’s frigate, Marennes, the Zoo de La Palmyre zoo and even Royan are significant tourist sites.
