Access to the water is down a gentle slope, and the very young have a paddling pool available. To fully make the most of the Ré rays of sunshine, this area is also equipped with a sunbathing area, which runs alongside the pools. Lastly, for gourmet breaks, it is worth knowing that a sweet treat snack area is open throughout the summer season.
For the young, nothing is left to chance on this establishment! Given over to children aged 3 to 15, the “Slow Club” offers numerous play activities around current themes. Small children can thus take part in cooking workshops, with games around recycling, exploratory walks in the middle of nowhere or even botanical activities! The Ile de Ré, a dream destination to switch off! Amongst the numerous visits you can have, discovering the Phare des Baleines is a must-see. In Saint Clément des Baleines, the lighthouse culminates at nearly 60 metres high - and good news! You can climb right to the top to make the most of an exceptional view! You will in particular be able to see the lovely beaches, but also the national forest and you will even get a glimpse of the Ile d'Oléron island, or even the famous Fort Boyard fortifications…
A further must-see of the island is discovering the salt marshes. You can do this on a bike ride or simply a walk. Lastly, a visit to the historic centre of Saint Martin de Ré is also strongly recommended, the town being surrounded by ramparts, having been fortified by the famous military engineer to Louis XIV: Vauban.
