The site accommodating the Village Flottant de Pressac is classified within the Natura 2000 (a European Commission network for protected areas for species and habitats). There are exceptionally diverse fauna and flora on the campsite. Having a surface area of 6 hectares, the lake houses around twenty floating cabins, and around a hundred metres from its banks a village of lodges on stilts, which is tremendously out of the ordinary.
Respecting the environment, this accommodation is ideally fitted out and offers a cosy setting for those who occupy it. In total, there are four types of holiday-hire accommodation available to you: the Duo cabins, the Familiales (Family) cabins, the Prestige cabins and the Lodges. Whether or not they are floating, all of these holiday-hire accommodation units invite you to simply daydream, as well as to wander around!
Lodges or cabins - you choose
On-site there is no shortage of services. All of the team at the Village Flottant de Pressac have the goal of ensuring you want for nothing and that you have the best possible stay. Meal baskets, made up of regional produce, can thus be delivered to those who request them at least 48 hours in advance. The campsite skippers bring these meal baskets by boat at the scheduled time! We should emphasise that it is also possible to have “Apéritifs VIP 5*“ delivered to enjoy on your cabin terrace, by the water surrounded your loved ones.
This Vienne campsite also has a restaurant, “La Marina du Ponteil” (the Ponteil marina), with both traditional cuisine and a warm atmosphere. In the afternoon, the bar welcomes holidaymakers who wish to quench their thirst on the restaurant terrace.
Another restaurant area, on the Village Flottant de Pressac campsite, is the Cabanes Grill Flottantes, consisting of floating grill cabins! A real innovation, these cabins are genuine dining rooms on the water, each able to accommodate up to eight guests. Linked to the bank via a footbridge, these cabins are fitted out so that you can cook your meal yourself around a wood fire placed in the centre of the table!
A multitude of activities are on offer to you on and around the lake. Fishing is of course possible, and the lake has numerous areas where edible fish, such as roach, carp and pike are found!
Those keen on slightly more physical sport are able to hire bikes from the Village reception, and a swimming pool as well as a paddling pool complete the complex. Around the pools, sunbeds are dotted about for the greatest delight of lovers of idleness!

Situated almost on the border between Vienne and Charente the possibilities for trips out are as numerous as they are varied. Located just a stone’s throw from the floating village, Pressac is home to an exceptional heritage, including its old bridge enabling you to cross the Clain, its old well, church and old houses gathered around the central square.
Barely much further, on the Vienne border, the village of Availles Limouzine should be visited when staying at the Village Flottant de Pressac. Its ancient gateways continue to protect the entrance to a village which is rich in character…
Amongst the other exceptional tourist sites which you will discover during your stay in Vienne, we might mention the famous multimedia theme park Futuroscope, located in Poitiers, and barely 70 kilometres from Pressac. The La Vallée des Singes primate park in Romagne, as well as the Musée du Vieux Cormenier (a museum around French rural life), are both 25 minutes by road from the Village campsite. You are advised to go to Chauvigny, to discover a important medieval city, in Montmorillon, mentioned in written works and by the publishing industry, as well as Confolens, home to an international Folklore festival which has taken place each year in August for more than 50 years now!
