An idyllic location 200 metres from the Bonporteau beach
Midway between La Croix-Valmer and Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, the coastal resort of Cavalaire-sur-Mer is one of the most beautiful and most dynamic of the Var coastline. Nestled at the foot of the green Massif des Maures and bathing in the blue waters of the Mediterranean, at the far end of a magnificent bay bearing its name, the town of Cavalaire-sur-Mer is, above all, renowned for its 300 days of sunshine per year, the quality of its bathing, its Provençal market and its traditional popular festivals organised throughout the summer.
It is therefore in this setting which is, to say the least, pleasant and alluring that the Bonporteau campsite is located. The latter nestles at the heart of a three-hectare site superbly wooded, only 800 metres only from the centre of Cavalaire-sur-Mer and from its casino, its marina, its yacht club and its beach clubs. Opposite this luxury campsite in Cavalaire-sur-Mer, indeed 200 metres from its entrance to the latter, the magnificent fine sandy beach of Bonporteau is there is to be discovered. To do so you must cover the length of a walking trail with a gentle gradient which winds through pine tree forest planted with eucalyptus trees, tamarisks and wild Washingtonias.
The ground over which the Bonporteau campsite stretches has a total of 177 plots. Of these, 107 are reserved to welcome campers and their tent, caravan or camper. The 70 other plots are nowadays occupied by mobile homes able to accommodate, depending upon their surface area and layout, between 2 and 8 people. The most luxurious of these belong belong to the Riviera and Super Titania ranges and are air-conditioned.
Beach or swimming pool, an impossible choice for holidaymakers!
Bathed in the midst of maritime pines, mimosa and eucalyptus trees, this open-air top-of-the-range Var hotel has numerous facilities and services able to meet the different needs of its holiday makers. Examples amongst the latter include the restaurant, where it is also possible to come and collect takeaways, as well as a bar, where musical entertainment takes place twice a week in the high season. A grocery is also open throughout the campsite opening dates and you can come and buy fresh bread as well as sweet breads and buns such as brioches, croissants and pains au chocolat every morning.
During their stay at the Bonporteau campsite, holidaymakers have the choice of the eponymous beach and the campsite swimming pool in which to go swimming. Entirely heated, the latter has a small pool so that children can make the most of the delights of water, a water and a Jacuzzi. Three times a week in July and August, aquaerobic sessions are offered to holidaymakers wishing to get back into shape!
On-site, holidaymakers can also take advantage of a children's play area, a pétanque ground, table tennis tables and other such facilities. Wi-Fi access is, moreover, available across the entire site for an additional charge.

From this 4-star Cavalaire-sur-Mer campsite, there are countless possibilities for excursions for intrigued holidaymakers. The Côte d’Azur, just like the Var department but on a larger scale indeed conceals a multitude of noteworthy tourist attractions.
Around the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the villages of Gassin and Cogolin, as well that of Bormes-les-Mimosas, which is located 23 kilometres from Cavalaire, can all be visited. Saint-Tropez's harbour and its turbulent past delight history lovers.
For lovers of old stonework, the Var hinterland and its picturesque villages, such as Bargème, Seillans or Tourtour are not lacking in charm either. Still in Provence, the Gorges du Verdon (the Verdon gorges), the Le Thoronet abbey (a Cistercian abbey), the Basilique Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume (a basilica) or even La Dracénie (where leisure culture and heritage all roll into one) are amongst the must-sees of the area.
