On Wednesday morning, the Privas market is a must-see! It abounds in local and traditional produce and products which delight gourmets and the curious. Don’t miss the chance to sample the area’s speciality, the renowned marron glacé (candied chestnuts).
The perfect starting point for going down the famous Ardèche gorges by canoe, an unmissable experience! The scenery is spectacular and the rapids provide a real shot of adrenaline.
For a family trip out, head for the Safari de Peaugres zoo, located an hour's drive away from the campsite. In an 80-hectare park, you’ll be able to admire more than 1,000 animals from 120 different species on foot or by car, during a unique safari. Lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, bears and wolves will delight young and old alike. For the more adventurous, the park offers a unique night experience to meet lions and bears.
