Anybody looking for a campsite on the shores of the Costa Dorada coast should consider La Torre del Sol. This top-of-the-range establishment is one of the best holiday resorts in Catalonia.
A campsite with numerous attractions, La Torre del Sol can boast having one of the region‘s most idyllic geographical locations. The large city of Tarragona is located around thirty kilometres from here, whilst Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is an hour and a half by road on the motorway. Moreover, the dynamic and lively seaside resorts of Cambrils, Salou and Miami Platja are all located within a radius of 20 kilometres.
A further attraction: this luxury campsite, on the Costa Dorada, has direct beach access. Holidaymakers do not need to cross a road, or walk for several minutes, to get to the warm sand and the Mediterranean! The very fortunate can even set up their tent, caravan or camper on pitches directly facing the beach!

Some pitches on La Torre del Sol have a location, which is highly tempting, with a direct view over the Mediterranean Sea. Like the other plots on this Costa Dorada campsite, these are in one of the three ranges: “Standard” (with a surface area close to 70 m²), “Confort” (“Comfort” - 100 m²) and “Grand Confort” (“Luxury” - 100 m² but with an electrical connection, mains water and mains drainage).
As regards accommodation, there are in excess of ten different types of holiday rental, which are spread over the rest of the campsite. Amongst the most luxurious, the mobile homes in the Cottage Wellness range of cottages have a multitude of facilities, such as air conditioning and even a private Jacuzzi on the terrace...certainly plenty for a relaxing stay in Miami Platja.
On-site, having settled in, holidaymakers can make the most of a wide variety of services. Go to the campsite reception to receive tourist advice, or buy tickets for a trip to Barcelona. Around reception there is also a supermarket, newspaper/magazine area, souvenir shop, hairdressing salon and medical centre.
Moreover, there are no less than nine catering and refreshments areas established on this campsite. These include a snack bar - pizzeria and takeaway services, restaurant and the “Tropical”, “Terrassa” and “El Petit Raco” bars.

The water park on the La Torre del Sol campsite consists of three heated lagoon swimming pools, a very large Jacuzzi able to accommodate up to 40 people at the same time, in water heated to 35°C nestling in an exotic garden. The complex also includes a ”cobra” Jacuzzi having shapes resembling a snake.
An indoor spa complex also welcomes campsite residents who wish to relax and feel good during their stay. This complex is equipped with three heated seawater Jacuzzis, hammam and sauna.
Amongst the other noteworthy campsite facilities, we should mention the many children’s playgrounds, including a genuine pirates’ village, aerobics area and city stadium. There is also a mini golf course, diving club, archery range and football pitch. In addition, you have a basketball, squash and beach volleyball court, skatepark, tennis court, outdoor fitness area and ping-pong tables. There is also a library, theatre, cinema, discotheque, bicycle hire service and others.
Lastly, a multitude of entertainment and activities is on offer to holidaymakers. Children’s and teenagers’ clubs enable the very young to have fun, whilst facilitating chance meetings. During the campsite season, evenings liven up to the greatest delight of children and adults alike!
