A dream campsite on the Costa Dorada...
This campsite is located just a stone’s throw from the fishing village of El Roc de Sant Gaietà and close to the major seaside resorts of the Costa Dorada, which are Sitges, Creixell and Tamarit, in the commune of Roda de Barà. It is a member of the STEL group of campsites, and is one of the loveliest summer holiday destinations on the Catalan coast.
By the sea, the STEL - Roda de Barà campsite enjoys direct beach access. You only have to cross a railway line before reaching the warm, fine sand of Roda de Barà beach. Having a length of several kilometres, this extends as far as the Torredembarra marina. Still further south is the large city of Tarragona, the environs of which conceal an archaeological site of major importance, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It comprises Roman walls, a Roman circus and theatre, ancient amphitheatre, Roman Berà triumphal arch etc.
Around one hour’s drive from the campsite heading north, is Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia. This is one of the most iconic cities with many of best tourist attractions in the Mediterranean basin.
The geographical location of the STEL - Roda de Barà campsite is one benefit to be stressed, but it is far from being the only such advantage. The campsite’s setting and surroundings are of equal importance. The campsite, which now extends over more than ten or so hectares, is delightfully landscaped and maintained.
A wide choice of holiday rentals and pitches.
There is a large choice of holiday rentals and pitches. The pitches, the majority of which are spacious and shaded, are divided into three ranges. The “Standard” range has a surface area ranging from 55 m² to 80 m², and is equipped with an electrical connection. The “Eau” pitches, in addition have a water point and the “Plus” (“additional benefits”) pitches, combine the advantages of the previous two ranges, and are moreover equipped with a covered parking space.
The holiday rentals are spread over a large proportion of the campsite, and are made up of chalets and mobile homes. Amongst the most luxurious are the chalets in the STEL 5 Luxe range. These can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 people and are air-conditioned.
Having put down their bags on the STEL - Roda de Barà campsite, holidaymakers can make the most of a multitude of on-site shops and services, as well as a large variety of leisure equipment and facilities. Amongst the on-site services offered we should mention, in particular, a supermarket, a restaurant, a food truck including a menu with excellent pizzas and other takeaway dishes, a snack bar - bar and an ice-cream seller. There is also a pub, the “Chi Pub Chi”, a beach bar, the “ Surfer’s Bar”, a hairdressing salon, a shop selling souvenirs and beach items, a doctor’s surgery, Wi-Fi coverage over the entire campsite, a launderette and other facilities.
A heavenly aquatic park...
A genuine temple of leisure, the aquatic area of this Roda de Barà campsite stretches over an surface area, which is impressive to say the least. There is a superb swimming pool lagoon as well as a paddling pool, a splash pad and water slides. Swimmers can also make the most of a Jacuzzi in which to unwind. For the beginning of the 2025 season, the aqua park is expanding by a further 700 m², with new pools and children’s water games.
Several sports facilities enable us to round off the range of leisure facilities on offer at the campsite. Amongst these, there is a tennis court but also 2 football pitches including one with artificial lawn and the other made of multi-purpose lawn, a paddle tennis court, as well as ping-pong tables.
Moreover, various activities and entertainment are arranged by the team at the STEL - Roda de Barà campsite, throughout the entire day, during the summer. Aquaerobics and aerobics sessions, salsa lessons, merengue and Batuka dancing and other activities enable those who wish to spend convivial times to both feel good and learn new dance steps. Children can join the mini-club and take part in play workshops, sports tournaments and other activities.
