A perfect location in Tenero
Campofelice offers spacious camping and caravanning pitches, laid to lawn, measuring 100 to 200 m², having a mains electrical connection (13 amp). Moreover, the “Deluxe” and “Prestige” plots enjoy a direct view over Lake Maggiore and the campsite’s sandy beach!
This high-end Swiss campsite also offers holidaymakers to chance to stay in comfortable and fully equipped holiday rentals. You can also choose a mobile home with a terrace and air conditioning, gypsy caravan, apartment or 60 m² chalet over two floors. Although the campsite’s 15 hectares are mainly occupied by pitches and holiday rentals, many other facilities have been laid out here, such as a superb water park. This consists of a large multi-purpose swimming pool, with a length of 25 metres and maximum depth of 1.2 metres, pool equipped with hydrotherapy benches and paddling pool having a children’s water play area with slide. Around the 500 m² pool area, numerous sunloungers have been set up, to enable you to rest and relax. A large sunbathing terrace also accommodates you after swimming and the water park has its own Pool Bar!
An ideal campsite to relax and have fun
The campsite occupies a select position in Tenero, where the waters of the Verzasca river meet those of Lake Maggiore. With a beach 400 metres long on the campsite, you also have the chance to swim in the lake and do various water sports, as you can hire canoes and stand-up paddle boards on-site!
Amongst the sports facilities on the Campofelice campsite, we mention the synthetic football pitch, beach volleyball court and pétanque court, tennis courts, mountain bike and BMX course, Vitaparcours fitness trail, gym and mini-golf course. If these facilities are not enough for you, be aware that the campsite team offers various physical activities throughout the season, such as aquagym, aerobics, climbing, Pilates, archery sessions and even yoga!
Moreover, Campofelice is a genuine children’s paradise! They can have fun on the bouncy castle or make the most of craft activities, Hip-hop for beginners, science lessons, music, painting and face-painting workshops, film screenings, circus school and Kids Dance, to sway their hips with friends! They’re also able to make the most of two play areas with castles, play pulley equipment, slides, swings and teeter-totters. In the evening, a large big top accommodates young and old alike, for shows and musical evenings.
As regards services and catering facilities, the “Campofelice Restaurant & Lounge” serves the best in cuisine from the land and sea, with a few fancy touches, blending the exotic. The “Robin Bistrot” cafe awaits you for a delicious breakfast, snack for lunch or convivial apéritif. The “Lake Breeze Robin Lounge” bar is perfect for enjoying a cocktail, whilst admiring the sunset, whereas the “Chiosco Lago” snack bar offers a variety of snacks, ice creams and drinks by the beach.

The supermarket on the campsite particularly offers fresh and local produce and products, and is open seven days a week. For those wishing to treat themselves to a new haircut, the campsite has its own hairdressing salon, whilst a spa and wellness area, including a sauna, Turkish bath and relaxation area welcomes all holidaymakers, who are aged 16 as a minimum. Lastly, Campofelice offers a car, scooter, bike and motor boat hire service. Worth noting that by staying on this Swiss campsite, you’ll automatically enjoy the Ticino Ticket, which enables you to travel by train for free, throughout the entire canton of Ticino, and obtain reductions on the cable cars and boats in the region.
During your stay in Tenero, spend a day in the Italian-speaking town of Locarno. Start your day with a cappuccino on the Piazza Grande square, then take the funicular which goes up to Orselina, to visit the Sacred Mount Madonna del Sasso sanctuary. Then go down to the old town to admire its historic palaces and museums. Lunch on the terrace and have a post-meal walk in the Parco delle Camelie park and botanical gardens, before going to admire the Castello Visconteo castle, dating back to the 12th century.
Have a trip to Ascona, one of the most beautiful villages running alongside Lake Maggiore. This is a former fishing port, known for its old town, lakeside walk and houses with colourful façades. You’ll find art galleries and delightful shops here, and can enjoy delicious local specialities. Lastly, remember to have a trip to the Brissago Islands, on Lake Maggiore. They’re home to the only island botanical gardens in Switzerland!
