A holiday on a campsite with a water park in the Landes
The Le Soleil des Landes campsite is ideally situated, just a stone’s throw from the heart of the village of Lit et Mixe, halfway between the seaside resorts of Mimizan and Vieille Saint Girons. The grounds, on a human scale, incorporate numerous facilities, as well as meeting holidaymaker needs, starting with the water park. This consists of a 20-metre-long swimming pool, heated and able to be indoors if required, 4 water slides, paddling pool, splash pad and large sunbathing area.
During the summer, you can start your day by an aquagym session, before continuing with a game of tennis, volleyball match or fitness session. As regards wellness, holidaymakers can reserve a massage on-site either individually or as a couple, osteopathy session, yoga class or body or facial treatment to completely relax.
In July and August, a free shuttle bus ensures the link to the protected beach of Cap de l'Homy. This vast sandy beach is very popular with families, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. Access to this beach supervised by lifeguards is via trails laid out through the dune. This is also the perfect spot for surfing, as with all the beaches on the Côte d'Argent (the coast from the Gironde estuary to Bayonne)!
Comfortable accommodation amidst pine trees
On the Le Soleil des Landes campsite, mobile homes available for hire are designed to be spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Depending upon their layout, they are all fitted out with 1 - 4 bedrooms and can accommodate from 2 to 8 people in excellent conditions. Moreover, all have a shaded terrace, to make the most of the benefits of outdoor life. Some designs are air-conditioned or suitable for persons with reduced mobility. Moreover, there is free Wi-Fi access around reception.
To occupy and entertain youngsters, this Lit et Mixe campsite has several mini-clubs. These are open during the high season. They enable children and teens aged 4 to 17 to have fun in play workshops, sports tournaments, shows etc. In addition, the campsite has a well equipped games room, notably with a football table and air hockey table.
Lastly, you can have lunch or dinner at the campsite restaurant. At the snack bar, enjoy a meal or takeaway pizza. A bike and mountain bike hire service (for children and adults) is also available on-site. This enables you to ride through the trails of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park, home to the largest maritime pine forest in Europe. Moreover, near Lit et Mixe, the Ecomusée de Marquèze eco-museum enables you to learn more about the Landes and ancestral traditions here.
