A dream stay on the only 5-star campsite in the Auvergne
In the middle of nowhere, 35 kilometres to the south of Clermont Ferrand, the La Ribeyre campsite is located, the most plus luxurious of open-air accommodation establishments in the Auvergne. Boasting an idyllic scenery in the peace and quiet of a wooded and green property, it is the perfect place to relax and discover one of the wildest regions of France.
The campsite's environment is even more pleasant as it has its own private lake, spread out over a 2.5-acres area and overhung by the Murol Castle and the plateau of Bessoles. A marked trail allows to make a tour around the lake on foot and a fine sandy beach allows to swim. If fishing is prohibited, the lake offers other fun possibilities to the residents of the campsite, like canoeing, freely available to tourists wishing to make a tour.
As for the lodging, there is a wide choice among the many pitches that dot the 13-acres property; flat, lawned and spacious pitches (on average 110 m²) separated by trees and semi shaded. A water park, unique of its kind, in the Monts Dore
At the La Ribeyre campsite, residents have the choice between the lake and its beach to swim and to indulge in idleness, but also the water park, one of the largest in the region, with its surface area of 2,500 m².
This high-end water park has an indoor and an outdoor area, with a lagoon, an upstream river, a paddling pool, a whirlpool, two balneo areas, and five water slides. Finally, the youngest are not forgotten and can have fun in the water with the various waterfalls and other water cannons. The indoor section includes a swimming pool of 200 m², heated for the greatest delight of holidaymakers sensitive to the cold...
Many sunloungers are located around the pools, and swimmers can also put their towels on the vast lawned sunbathing area, which covers the rest of this part. The perfect place to get a suntan!

The massifs found in these sub regions essentially consist of ancient volcanoes, forming what is called today the chain of the Puys.
