A stay to reconnect with the spectacular Corsican countryside
Children can go on the entirely new play area to have fun, or head for the inflatable facility to jump as high as possible! Teenagers and adults can play against each other on the tennis court or play pétanque. From the campsite, various hiking trails enable you to venture into the heart of the magnificent countryside in Haute Corse.
A quarter of an hour’s drive from the campsite, L’Ile Rousse is a magical destination to explore on foot. Start with its sandy beaches and then stroll along the marina quays, take the Promenade de la Marinella promenade then the little alleyways up to the Place Paoli square, with its unique atmosphere. End with the Church of the Immaculate Conception, a genuine gem of L’Ile Rousse!
In addition, make the most of your stay to enjoy local specialities which make the Isle of Beauty so renowned. There is Figatellu, a dried or smoked spiced meat and pork liver sausage, Coppa (cured, smoked and slow matured pork loin from the Nustrale breed), and Lonzo (a similar dry-cured and matured pork loin from Nustrale pigs), Brocciu cheese, almonds, honey and Corsican olive oil. Not forgetting the Corsican wines, their exceptional grape varieties and nine Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée - AOCs (quality and geographical designations of origin) such as wines from the Patrimonio or Sartène regions. Lastly, don’t forget to try Myrtle liqueur.
Succumb to the charms of Haute Corse
