Les Iles, a 5 star campsite close to Granville

Around 15 minutes’ drive from the seaside resort of Granville in the Manche department, the Les Iles campsite is located. Situated in Hudimesnil, this establishment rated 5 star, is a member of the Vagues Océanes group. In exceptional surroundings, this wooded campsite has a lovely water park, modern and comfortable accommodation and numerous recreational and sports facilities.

A 5-star campsite in the Manche department, close to the Chausey Islands

The inland Granville area has many surprises for you. Amongst them, an exceptional campsite, where you can spend a holiday in relaxation mode, make the most of comfort in every way, numerous services to meet every need and a multitude of facilities to have fun or play sport. In a word, enjoy it! This establishment is the Les Iles campsite, located in Hudimesnil in the Manche department.

Some 600 metres from the heart of the village, Les Iles occupies a park of around 10 hectares, wooded and in bloom, where nearly 220 pitches nestle. Although some are intended to accommodate tents, caravans, campers and converted vans on Premium plots, with a private, heated sanitary block, the majority are occupied by holiday rentals. Depending upon their layout, they can accommodate between 2 to 8 persons.

The holiday rentals on the Les Iles campsite are new, and particular care has been taken with their integration into the landscape. Holidaymakers can make the most of the benefits of outdoor life by sitting on the terrace of their mobile home for breakfast, lunch and evening meal, whilst enjoying the lush vegetation around them. As regards services, this establishment has thought of everything, so holidaymakers want for nothing during their stay.

Numerous services and facilities

The Les Iles campsite has its own bar – restaurant also offering takeaway dishes, such as pizzas, grocery store for emergency supplies, bread and sweetbreads and buns outlet and launderette. There is also a library and charging points for electric vehicles (attention: holidaymakers should bring their own adaptor with them).

As regards leisure and sports facilities, on this 5-star campsite in Granville, there is a superb water park, multi-sports ground, area for playing boules, children’s playground, trampoling area, inflatable play facilities, mini farm and ping-pong tables. Although the atmosphere proves to be more Zen in the low season, with activities only taking place during the Easter, Ascension and Pentecost holidays, the campsite becomes much more lively and festive during the months of July and August!

During these two summer months, a sports warm-up is offered to holidaymakers every morning, and convivial activities are arranged each day. Children can go to one of the two mini-clubs, the first accommodating those aged 4 to 6 and the second aged 7 to 10, whilst teenagers make the most of a minimum of two meet-ups per week. Lastly, come the evening, numerous activities are on the programme, as well as high quality shows which never fail to dazzle and surprise those attending them.

An exceptional water park in the Manche department

The swimming area on the Les Iles campsite is a genuine temple of water pleasures. It consists of several pools, including an indoor pool, heated throughout the entire season with paddling pool and an outdoor lagoon swimming pool with paddling pool, hydrotherapy benches and counter-current swimming lane. This pool is heated from Ascension Day until the campsite closes for the season. Water slides and a hoist, enabling people with reduced mobility to enter the water, complete the entirety.

Moreover, a stay in Hudimesnil is the chance to discover the Manche department and further afield some of Normandy’s main tourist attractions. The most famous of them is certainly Mont Saint Michel (a tidal island), located 50 kilometres from the campsite. Facing this, the town of privateers, Granville, is located 11 kilometres from Les Iles. From here, you can take a boat to reach the Chausey islands, a one-hour crossing enabling you to reach Europe’s largest archipelago!

The equally famous D-Day Landing beaches are one hour’s drive from the Les Iles campsite. A real journey back in time, the various Normandy Landings museums recount the events of 6th June 1944 and the Battle of Normandy which ensued thereafter. The ruins of the artificial harbour in Arromanches are 103 kilometres from the campsite, whilst the village of Sainte Mère Eglise is 80 kilometres away.
