Activities for young and old alike
The “Eden Kids Club” children’s club accommodates your kids from aged six and upwards with treasure hunts, Olympiads, and a mini-disco which lets them make lots of new friends. Throughout your entire stay, qualified and enthusiastic activity leaders offer them a multitude of craft, play and sports activities.
One of the distinctive features of the Domaine de Bréhadour campsite is known as the “Brière Enchantée”. This is a mini-farm with animals and nets suspended high up so children go from tree to tree looking at the scenery.
Go off to explore the delightful fortified town of Guérande. A Ville d'Art et d'Histoire (reflecting its heritage, architecture and living environment), it is one of the gems of the Loire Atlantique. Lose yourself in its authentic alleyways, admire its exceptional heritage and numerous buildings such as the Collégiale Saint-Aubin Catholic church, Notre-Dame-la-Blanche chapel, Careil castle (fortified manor house) or Cremeur windmill. A genuine medieval town, with its ramparts and magnificent Saint-Michel fortified gateway being 24 metres high.
Succumb to the charms of the Le Croisic peninsula and the Côte d’Amour coast
Only 10 minutes from the campsite, discover the La Baule bay and beach, which is the longest in Europe. Nine kilometres of fine sand which stretches out opposite the ocean from Pornichet to Le Pouliguen. You’ll be able to try kitesurfing or even stand-up paddle boarding, unless you prefer strolling on the embankment, whilst admiring the magnificent villas under the pine trees and enjoying the famous “Niniche” (lollipop) from the Confiserie Manuel sweet shop.
Get on your bike, cross the hectares of salt marshes and have a ride at the heart of the Brière Natural Regional Park. Further north, you’ll fall in the love with Piriac sur Mer, with the designation “Petite Cité de Caractère” (reflecting the town’s history and the protection thereof) with granite houses, whose straight alleyways are adorned with hydrangeas and hollyhocks.
Lastly go to Le Croisic, for a walk along the authentic and abrupt wild coast. Picnic in a small creek or on the beach, enjoy delicious seafood in one of the port’s restaurants. Discover the atypical architecture of the Le Croisic villas, and end with a tour of the Océarium, where you encounter 4,000 marine animals which inhabit the 56 giant aquariums.
