A dream holiday in Provence...
Luberon Parc is a campsite with a human dimension, nestling in a wooded 6 hectare park in Charleval, a village in the Bouches du Rhône situated between the Alpilles massif, the Camargue and Calanques National Park! The perfect holiday resort between the land and sea, in a wooded natural setting, cradled by the song of cicadas... Here camping pitches are naturally marked out by trees and typically Provençal greenery. Plots are a minimum of 80 m², some having a timber cabin with private sanitary facilities and outdoor washbasin!
This high-end campsite with all modern comforts has around 160 holiday rentals, split into three categories; three flower, four flower and Premium. The “Thym” cottage has been specially designed for people with reduced mobility. The “Luberon Premium with SPA” design is air-conditioned, spacious and comfortable. With a 40 m² surface area, it can accommodate up to 6 people in three separate bedrooms. You’ll find two bathrooms, an equipped kitchen with dishwasher, lounge area and large outdoor terrace with a private Jacuzzi. The decor proves to be meticulous and Wi-Fi connection is included.
The Luberon Parc campsite bar/restaurant serves local quality cuisine, to eat in or take away. It is great to have lunch or an apéritif on the large outdoor terrace, offering a magnificent view of the Luberon massif scenery. The campsite also features a bread and sweet breads and buns outlet, launderette and hire service for sheets, towels, fridges, baby kit and young child’s kit. Hence you’ll want for nothing during your stay in Provence.
A magnificent water park with a view over the Luberon
The Luberon Parc campsite makes a vast 2,200 m² water park, spread over two levels, exclusively available to holidaymakers. It consists of a large swimming pool, for keen swimmers, indoor, heated swimming pool, paddling pool with water games, and three water slides accessible to children aged 7 and upwards. Teens and adults can also treat themselves to thrill-seeking, by tearing down these water slides! Near the pools, you’ll find sunloungers to make the most of the sunshine and indulge in idleness.
On this 5 star establishment, the kids clubs are open from the start of the season, 5 out of 7 days in the low season and 6 out of 7 days in the high season. Activity leaders arrange suitable pursuits for youngsters aged 4 to 12, at the mini club. On the programme, there are craft and environmental awareness-raising workshops, producing shows, sports tournaments, treasure hunts and a mini disco! You can also have super times with the family with a game of table tennis, petanque or volleyball.
Activity leaders on the Luberon Parc campsite also offer water polo matches and aquafun (aqua aerobics) sessions in the swimming pool, and dance, yoga and stretch classes. In addition, you can make the most of the outdoor fitness equipment and perfect your darts-throwing skills. In the high season, every evening proves festive! Concerts, shows involving children or activity leaders, magic shows, karaoke nights, or those on the dance floor... Conviviality and good humour are the watchwords on this campsite!
Discover the wonders of Provence
Straddling the departments of Vaucluse and Alpes de Haute Provence, the Luberon massif is crossed by numerous hiking trails, some enabling you to access the summit, known as Mourre Nègre, reaching 1,125 metres in altitude. In this mountain range, the hilltop villages of Gordes and Roussillon have the “Plus Beaux Villages de France” designation (recognizing their beauty and cultural heritage). The first, dubbed the flagship of the Luberon, harmoniously blends Provençal traditions, artists’ studios and a medieval castle. The second is renowned for the streets and buildings with rust-red ochre colours.
A trip to Salon de Provence enables you to head off in the footsteps of Nostradamus, visit his house and the typically Provençal town centre. You can also stock up on local produce and products in the market stalls, and visit the famous soap factories where olive wood and lavender reign supreme. July holidaymakers can spend a day in Avignon, admiring the Palais des Papes (Papal palace), and discover a new play in one of the 120 theatres in the city.
Around forty minutes from Luberon Parc, you can discover L’Isle sur la Sorgue, dubbed the “Venice of Provence”. This village with a river running through it has striking beauty, owing to its canals, picturesque bridges, old windmills and stone houses. You can hunt for antiques at the vintage goods shops in the village of antique dealers, and have a canoe trip on the Sorgue river…
