La Pierre Verte, a 4-star campsite just outside Fréjus
Just outside Fréjus in the Var, and less than ten kilometres from the beaches and coves of the Côte d'Azur nestles La Pierre Verte, a very comfortable 4-star campsite, extending over nearly 30 acres in a quiet and wooded property, where only the songs of cicadas 'disturb' the serenity of its residents.
A dream stay in Fréjus
La Pierre Verte lies between Cannes and Saint Tropez, in the heart of the Esterel Massif, on the heights of Fréjus. This establishment is, with its 30 acres of landscaped pine forest in graduated terraces, one of the largest campsites of the Côte d'Azur. But with its comfortable rentals and high-end facilities, it is also and above all one of the outdoor establishments where tourists feel the best in the region.
On the 30 acres of this 4-star campsite in Frejus guests can choose between spacious and shaded pitches, ranging from 80 to 100 m². These separated pitches can accommodate tents, caravans and campers and are equipped with an electric supply and, for some of them, with a fresh water tap and a sewage connection for waste water.
There are also many rental mobile homes on La Pierre Verte. The most luxury ones are composed of a master bedroom and two other bedrooms, with a capacity to accommodate up to six people. There is also a living, a kitchen opening to a covered terrace, a bathroom and a toilet. These luxury accommodations are also equipped with a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher a DVD player and a television broadcasting French and other European channels.
High-end establishment, La Pierre Verte also features a restaurant, a snack with a take away service, a bar and a grocery store directly on-site, where guests can buy fresh bread and national and foreign newspapers, but also the first everyday necessities and beach items.
On a dynamic campsite
The campsite's water park, composed of several pools, is the real meeting place of the summer guests. It consists of several pools, a heated fun water area of 100 m², a water slide and a whirlpool to relax in the water. Around the pools, the guests can indulge in idleness under the sweet sun of the Var and relax on sun loungers. During the season, every morning aquagym sessions are organized to the delight of the residents, who can in this way eliminate the excesses of the night before...
As a matter of fact, this luxury campsite in the Var provides many sports activities. Thus, it is possible to play football, basketball, badminton, tennis, water polo or archery, while for others there's the possibility to practice fitness, jogging or dancing. And while parents are on the sports grounds (or if they are resting!), their kids can have fun in one of the mini clubs. During the summer season, there are four of them: the Pitchouns club, for 3 to 6, the club of the P'tits Loups, for 7 to 10, the Juniors club for 11 to 13, and the Teens club for the 14 to 17 years old.
Besides the organization of the daytime activities for young and old, the team of La Pierre Verte also takes care of the evenings on the terrace of the restaurant. On the program, concerts, cabaret, children's shows, dancing, etc. In a great atmosphere and in the campsite's characteristic convivial spirit.
Between Provence and Côte d'Azur
Camping La Pierre Verte, settled on the heights of Fréjus, within a 30-acres flowered and greatly maintained pine forest, in the heart of the Esterel Massif, enjoys a rather enviable geographic position. It is in fact 8 kilometres to the first beaches of Fréjus, and just a few steps to the Provençale road, a highway connecting the Bouches du Rhone to the beach resorts of the Var and the Alpes Maritimes.
As a result, you only drive in a few dozens of minutes to Saint Tropez, Ramatuelle, Sainte Maxime, Cannes, Antibes and Menton. These are must-see places during a stay on the French Riviera.
The location of the campsite, situated further back inland, also guarantees a faster access to the Provence and the hinterland. Many charming villages nestle in the region, like Fayence, a small medieval city with an undeniable architectural heritage, Tourtour, one of the most beautiful villages in France, or even Sillans, whose central square is some hundred metres from a beautiful waterfall of 42 metres high!
Finally, from campsite la Pierre Verte it is easy to reach the gorges of Verdon. This spectacular canyon that tourists can canoe down, is considered the most beautiful canyon of Europe...
