The Hyères salt marshes form an area of 900 hectares, composed of salt marshes and fresh water, a deep-water reservoir, coastal pine forests and dunes. There is amazing flora and fauna to discover on numerous trails.

The La Capte beach is a Mecca for gliding sports in Hyères. It is therefore quite natural that the Salines campsite offers you, amongst its activities and entertainment, the chance to try kitesurfing, windsurfing and stand-up paddling boarding, during your stay on the Giens Peninsula. On the campsite, the Kraken water sports base offers many other experiences besides: towed buoy, water skiing, wakeboarding or even sea kayaking. Lastly, trips from the campsite are also on offer to holidaymakers.

Explore the Giens Peninsula, the Iles d’Or islands and the Côte d’Azur

Staying on this campsite on the Giens Peninsula, in Hyères les Palmiers, is to treat yourself to the opportunity to discover the wonders of the Côte d’Azur. Although the Hyères salt marshes are just a stone’s throw from the campsite, other exceptional tourist and natural sites are in the vicinity. This is notably the case with the Iles d’Or, and in particular the most famous of them, the island of Porquerolles.

This is accessible by boat from the Hyères marina. A multitude of shuttle boats operate the crossing between the mainland and Porquerolles, enabling those intrigued to discover and make the most of the wonders of this island, for an afternoon or entire day. Amongst the treasures of Porquerolles is notably the Notre-Dame beach. Stretching out over an area of nearly 800 metres, it is considered the most beautiful beach in Europe!

Returning to the mainland, you will be able to make the most of the central position of the campsite on the Côte d’Azur to tour along its coastline, discovering its legendary beaches, ports and remarkable gardens.
