A waterfront campsite in the Ardèche...
It is just a stone’s throw from the confluence of the Ardèche river and the Chassezac tributary, in the commune of Sampzon in the Vivarais, that the La Bastide campsite is located in the Ardèche. This top-of-the-range open-air hotel enjoys a location which could not be more advantageous, since it runs alongside the river and has a sandy beach on its banks, enabling residents to easily access the water course for a swim.
The site occupies wooded and lush grounds over nearly ten or so hectares. Space is important and on site holidaymakers can enjoy vast pitches to put up their tent or set up their caravan or camper. La Bastide in the Ardèche also has a varied range of holiday rental accommodation taking the form of mobile homes.
These cottages can accommodate, dependent upon their layout, between 4 to 6 people. Some of them, such as the Pommier mobile homes, are ultra-modern (they were put in during 2018), and enjoy a perfect pitch by the water. From the terrace, holidaymakers can thus admire canoeists going down the river during their trip leading them towards the famous Pont d’Arc, making the gateway to the magnificent Ardèche gorges.
An aquatic park and top activities!
These gorges are located only a few kilometres downstream of the campsite. So as to get there, you should head towards Vallon Pont d’Arc, less than a quarter of an hour by road from the campsite. This village is home to a multitude of shops and restaurants and the leading supermarket is 2 kilometres from the La Bastide campsite in the Ardèche.
Services that you can also find even within this Ardèche campsite, since it has a grocery, a launderette, a bar, a restaurant, a snack bar-pizzeria, an information point, a library, a service for the hire of barbecues and fridges and other facilities. You should also note that the entire campsite has Wi-Fi network coverage.
As regards facilities on this luxury campsite in Sampzon, and more specifically intended for holidaymakers’ leisure activities, the aquatic park delights as much children as it does adults. Fully heated, it consists of a swimming pool, a paddling pool and a landing pool for the water slides.
The Ardèche, an exceptional landscape and heritage
The campsite also has a games room with billiards and table football, a pétanque court, ping pong tables, a volleyball court, fitness equipment, a sports ground, trampolines and 2 play areas, one intended for small children whilst the other is intended for slightly older children. During the high season, the team organises a multitude of activities, as much in the day for children, teenagers and adults, as it does in the evening. Everyone gets together there to spend a convivial time when everybody is in good humour!
