A holiday in the open!
70 acres! 70 acres of fresh air, relaxation, fun and well-being. This is in short how we could define the Domaine Le Pommier, a 5-star campsite situated in the Centre Est region of the Ardèche, to be discovered with your family during a stay that you will not quickly forget...
We should mention that at the Domaine Le Pommier, excessiveness is not just defined by the surface area of the place...although its 70 acres make it one of the largest campsites in the department! The outrageousness of this establishment, nestling in the heart of an undulating landscape overlooking the Coiron plateau, in the heart of the Vivarais region is particularly experienced with its water park. This being both the largest in France on a campsite and, without any doubt, the loveliest in the country...
This extraordinary complex has three vast swimming pools; the Sports Pool, Tropicana Pool and Pirate Pool. The latter is a real water playground set aside for children. with a life-size replica of a pirate galleon, with water cannons, a pouring bucket emptying more than 300 litres of water into the play area, mini water slides and other attractions... Yet the best of the best on this facility comes in the shape of its water slides. Totalling twelve, they make tourists shudder, at the mere mention of their names: the Multihill, Anaconda, Hillracer, Super Anaconda, Viper, Aqualoop and Family Slide…
The largest campsite water park in France!
Although the Aquaparc du Pommier can be seen as an actual amusement park in itself, the fact remains that it is just the water park on the Le Pommier campsite, which also has many other attractions appealing to tourists.
In fact, the immensity of its surface offers campers large wooded and green pitches, separated from each other by beautiful flowering hedges. As for the holiday rentals, the campsite offers different accommodation choices, from the comfortable mobile home to the luxury chalet, including the equipped lodge tent or even the unusual gypsy caravan. Amongst its holiday rentals there are in particular the Ciela Exception and Ciela Exception Tribu mobile homes. These are equipped with a private spa on the outdoor terrace!
The wide range Ciela Village offers amongst the most modern and high-end holiday rentals in the market. Equipped with semi-covered or covered terraces with a garden furniture set, within a layout specially thought out for families so that everyone has their tranquil space, the rentals offer all of the comfort and well-being that all holidaymakers expect…
An enviable location in the Ardèche
Le Pommier is able take advantage of an enviable location in the Ardèche. Located in Villeneuve de Berg, in the centre of the Ardèche, this establishment is indeed ideally situated. Guest can easily reach the four corners of the Department, and discover its most beautiful treasures.
During your stay on le Pommier, and less than ten kilometres from Villeneuve de Berg, you can visit the remains of the ancient Gallo-Roman city of Alba la Romaine, as well as the city of Montélimar, nougat capital, located barely further in the Department of the Drome.
It is in the South of the Department that we find the famous gorges of the Ardèche, which entrance is in Vallon Pont d'Arc, a half an hour drive from the campsite. You can canoe down these canyons to discover the natural landscapes of exceptional beauty, such as the Balcony of the Knights Templar or even the Circus of la Madeleine. Still in Vallon Pont d’Arc, you can visit the Grotte Chauvet 2 cave: a replica of the Grotte Chauvet, one of the most beautiful decorated caves in France listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The North of the Ardèche is more mountainous and there we find the Regional Nature Park of the Monts d'Ardèche. At 70 kilometres from the campsite, lies le Mont Gerbier des Joncs, source of the Loire River whose reputation is second to none...
