A pleasant camping stay on the shores of the Pareloup Lake
In the heart of the Lévézou, in the village of Salles Curan and on the shores of the Lac de Pareloup lake in the Aveyron department, nestles a magnificent camping club. Les Genets, yes that is its name, is an establishment rated 4 star having a setting, a location, accommodation and facilities guaranteeing that holidaymakers spend an unforgettable stay in the so-called ‘grands lacs country’ (the location of well-known lakes), where the countryside is protected and the landscapes are magnificent.
A 4-star campsite in Aveyron
Enjoying perfect scenery in lush countryside, this luxury campsite is established on the shores of the Lac de Pareloup, the famous Aveyron lake and the leading waters sports base in the Occitania region. This outdoor establishment features 163 pitches to accommodate tents, caravans and campers, all equipped with electric and drinking water supplies.
Campers can choose between a pitch in the middle of nature or on the lakeside. To ensure maximum comfort, the sanitary blocks are modern, well designed and perfectly maintained. Moreover, they are also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Several types of accommodation are available for hire, such as the canvas bungalows designed for 2 to 4 people and equipped with a small kitchen, or even the 6 different types of chalets and mobile homes which enable us to meet the needs and demands of tourists. They are equipped with all necessary comforts (a fully equipped kitchen, a shower room and toilets) and can accommodate, dependent upon their layout, between 2 to 6 people.
The most luxurious holiday rentals of the campsite are definitely the IRM company’s Grand Confort (‘Luxury’) mobile homes. Able to accommodate up to 6 people, each has a fully equipped kitchen, a shower room with shower and washbasin, separate toilets, a living room equipped with a luxury sofa and a covered terrace with a garden furniture set.
With heated pools and direct access to the beach
A 4-star camping club on a human scale, Les Genets has a surface area of 3 hectares over which extend, in addition to pitches and holiday rentals, numerous leisure facilities.
These include a large heated swimming pool, a children’s water slide, as well as a paddling pool for the very young. Around the pools, the guests can enjoy the sun on the sunbathing area, read a book or laze on comfortable loungers.
Amongst the campsite’s many available sports facilities we single out a mini-golf course, a multisports ground, a pétanque court, outdoor fitness equipment and ping-pong tables, and a bouncy castle and a playground for children.
Furthermore, this luxury campsite enjoys direct access to the Lac de Pareloup lake and to one of the sandy beaches running alongside its shores. You can swim there or even undertake several water sports activities, such as windsurfing, pedalos or canoeing. Fishermen can of course throw their lines into the lake.
To relax and feel good, holidaymakers staying at the Les Genets camping club can also make the most of a spa-wellness area on-site. Even better, you can completely make your time in the spa private (for a maximum of 4 people) and make the most of the whirlpool bath, its herbal tea room with oriental flavours and other facilities. There is plenty for you to spend a delightful time during your stay!
In the evening, the campers get together to share warm and convivial moments and to attend different types of shows or theme nights. Those who wish to continue the fun during the night can go to the campsite's nightclub. Particularly enjoyed by teenagers, the discotheque on the Les Genets camping club is located away from the campsite’s residential areas, and never spoils the tranquillity of the campsite.
On the shores of the Lac de Pareloup
A stay on the Les Genets camping club on the Lac de Pareloup enables you to be conveniently located close to many tourist attractions in one of the most beautiful departments of France - Aveyron.
The reputation of the Aveyron, with streams, rivers, canyons, hills, and forested lowlands, derives mainly from the exceptional beauty of its nature landscapes. There's nothing more fun than descending the gorges du Tarn by canoe to get a better idea of the natural charms of this department. With many paths winding through it, you can also have walking, horse riding or mountain biking trips to discover the area.
Amongst the leading tourist sites of Aveyron, we mention the most beautiful French villages being Belcastel, La Couvertoirade, Conques, Nahac, Saint Côme d'Olt, Sainte Eulalie d'Olt and even Sauveterre de Rouergue.
The Monts d’Aubrac mountain peak, the Trou de Bozouls gorge, the city of Rodez and even the Millau Viaduct, a cable-stayed bridge, are also must-see sites during your stay in Aveyron.
