A dream holiday on this Loire Atlantique campsite
The small seaside resort of Mesquer, in the Loire Atlantique, located between the Loire and Vilaine estuaries, on the Côte d’Amour coast (from Le Traict de Pen Bé to the mouth of the Loire), and near Southern Brittany’s major tourist attractions, is home to the Le Petit Bois campsite. It is an outdoor establishment, which has proven over several years to have moved upmarket.
Located near the Etier de Quimiac river, whose landscapes change with the tides and countryside favouring trips and walks, the Le Petit Bois campsite is less than a kilometre from the Lanséria beach, a long sandy beach in Mesquer Quimiac popular with families. It occupies grounds of several hectares nestling in the forest, within which camping and caravanning pitches and holiday rentals have been laid out.
Numbering 16, the plots for accommodating tents, caravans and various campers, have an average surface area of 100 m². All are equipped with a private sanitary block comprising a WC, shower, sink and small fridge. Amidst the pitches there are also premises with washing machines and tumble dryers.
A lagoon for swimming with a private beach
As regards accommodation, various types of mobile homes are on offer for hire. Amongst these, the cottages in the Bacchus, Belle Île and Dumet ranges are the most high-end. Able to accommodate 4, 6 and 8 persons respectively, they enjoy high quality facilities and offer unfailing comfort.
Their suitcases unpacked, holidaymakers staying on this Mesquer campsite can make the most of its numerous attractions, starting with its water park and tropical lagoon. These two areas have been entirely thought out for relaxation and fun. Notably the first one has water heated to 28°C from mid-May to mid-September, a large swimming pool, indoor pool, and children’s paddling pool with waterfall and mini water slide. There is a balneotherapy area with geysers and Jacuzzis and two large water slides with a separate landing pool.
The fresh water lagoon is inevitably reminiscent of the lovely scenery in the tropics! With its white sandy beach running alongside, it entices you to swim, all the more so as the water is naturally treated here and the shallow depth and gentle slope give you complete peace of mind when returning to the water. The sunshine allows the lagoon water to warm up naturally to 30°C during warm summer days!
Attacking the Côte d’Amour coast and the Guérande peninsula

In the evening, for 6 days out of 7 during summer holidaymakers are invited to attend and take part in activities offered by the Le Petit Bois team: karaoke or disco evenings, concerts, shows, etc. The majority of this entertainment takes place around the campsite’s snack bar - bar - restaurant.
Lastly, by staying on this campsite in the Loire Atlantique department, you can quickly go to Guérande, visiting the old town still encircled by ramparts and overlooking the salt marshes of the peninsula named after it.
